Assessment of the Mechanical Properties of High Strength Mortar Incorporating Silica Fume and Graphene Nanoplatelets: Experimental and Mathematical Modeling

Cement-based mortar is recognized as a popular and cost-effective material for the rehabilitation repair of reinforced concrete structures. However, development high-performance cement-based in high demand order to not only enhance compressive strength but also prolong lifespan minimize maintenance costs much possible. In current study, high-strength mortars incorporating both silica fume graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were investigated evaluated based on flexural strength. The powder was added amounts ranging from 0.5% 2%, by cement weight, while partial replacement (10%). optimal content determined using response surface methodology (RSM). addition, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) used assess proposed at micro-scale level. outcome revealed that graphene-based imparted superior mechanical properties compared control mixture. containing 10% 1% increased 33% 35%, respectively.
